Peter Forest started working in photography in 2008 after a long career as a sports information director for Alabama State, Alcorn State and Grambling State Universities. He got his degree in Mass Communications from Southern University in 1991. Forest currently works on a variety of photo projects throughout the South Louisiana regional area for a variety of businesses and media outlets.

 

In 2013, Forest Photography, LLC was founded and serves a variety of clientele ranging from sports, events, music, construction, disaster recovery and general assignment. Forest was also a freelance basketball writer for the Associated Press in the Dallas-Fort Worth area during the 1997-98 season.

 

Forest is currently a contract photographer with The Times-Picayune since 2010.  He also holds current membership in the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) and NPPA (National Press Photographers Association).
